By placing an order, you are authorizing Í húsi blóma to make substitutions allowed by stringent guidelines. Í húsi blóma will always attempt to fill the order as closely as possible; however if the container, flowers, or other items that comprise the order are unavailable then the order will be substituted with content equal to the original value of the order.
Every order is important to us because we know how important it is to you. We earnestly endeavor to please every customer with beautiful flowers and accommodating service. Knowing that flowers are a perishable natural product and that floral arrangements and floral gifts are hand made, we make every effort to fortify our floral products and ensure the quality, accuracy and beauty of our work. Many variables determine whether a flower will last as long as anticipated or whether a designer has created something which you will enjoy. Because we constantly seek ways to bring some of these variables under our control for improved floral performance, we welcome your comments and inquiries. Also, if you are not completely satisfied with the quality of one of our products, then please contact us immediately (within 24 hours) and we will promptly take the appropriate action ihusibloma@ihusibloma.com.
If you open an account on our site, we need your contact information including your name, e-mail address, phone number for Iceland and mailing address, name of the receiver, phone number. We use your purchase history, contact information and other registration information to send you information and to otherwise enhance your shopping experience.
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All user credit card information is securely communicated using secure socket layer (SSL) software, which is the industry standard and among the best software available for secure commerce transactions. All user information stored on our server is stored in an encrypted format. Notwithstanding these efforts, we caution you that "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet.

We do not include any billing information with your order.
If you order before 2:00 pm in the recipient's time zone, we can typically deliver the flowers the same day Monday through Friday. For orders going outside of our local delivery area, we may require the order to be placed by 12:00 pm for same-day delivery. For same day service on Saturday please order by 12:00 pm.
We are unable to guarantee delivery at a specific time, but we are normally able to deliver within four hours on orders. You may request a time frame in the special instruction box when ordering, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Normal delivery times are 11am-4pm daily for orders going to a business, 5pm for orders to a residence, hotel, or hospital. During major holidays such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day we operate extended hours and delivery times are 10am-8pm.
If we are unable to arrange for delivery on Sunday and time permits we will setup for delivery on Saturday, including Birthday and Anniversaries. If Saturday or Sunday is not available, then the order will be scheduled for Monday and we will inform you of the rescheduling (you will be contacted first before rescheduling a Birthday or Anniversary gift for Monday).
If you want us to deliver at any other time as early morning, please make your request in the "special instructions" field in the shopping cart. However, in some cases, delivery may not be possible by the requested time due to circumstances beyond our control. Also, in general, we are unable to accommodate specific times during the two day period prior to and including the major floral holidays: Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Most of our floral, non-floral, specify gifts are shipped via a courier service.
You will receive an order confirmation email immediately after placing your order at www.ihusibloma.com. This confirms that your order has been received and is being processed. If you do not receive an email confirmation, please check your "junk" or "spam" folder in case the email was filtered by your Internet service provider. To ensure delivery of your order confirmation, please add ihusibloma@ihusibloma.com to your address book.
The products on our website may be slightly modified by request, but cannot be guaranteed. For example, if the product you select has pink roses and you prefer red roses, you may add this modification in the "special instructions" field in checkout. The fulfilling florist will try to match your request as closely as possible.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and additionaly Debit cards or cash when picked up in person.
We at „Í húsi blóma“ are committed to delivering your important emotional sentiments on time and as fresh and beautiful as possible. Because of the nature, seasonality, and regional availability of flowers it is sometimes necessary to make substitutions of equal or greater value. We will make every effort to maintain the "look and feel" of the arrangement by considering the overall shape, size, style, and color combinations. In single-variety arrangements the variety will take precedence over color. For instance, if an order is for yellow daisies, they will substitute another color of daisies, not another yellow flower. White roses and cream roses may be substituted for each other as well as peach roses and pink roses. Purple and pink orchids may need to be substituted for white orchids and vice versa.
Many products are available in size L, XL, and XXL sizes that you can upgrade to.
Some hospitals do not allow latex balloons with an arrangement. Mylar balloons may need to be substituted for latex balloons on some orders.
For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value. For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type, but may substitute with another color. Containers for plants will be as close as possible.
Substitutions within a basket may be made with items of greater or equal value if necessary to guarantee freshness and timely delivery. In case of gift basket with alcohol as wine and other-we do not sell this items as we have not licence to do so. But for a commition we are able to buy it for you.
Due to the importance of delivering orders for special occasions, such as funerals, birthdays, and anniversaries, on specific days, we may make a substitution of equal or greater value to ensure timely delivery, if the flowers you requested are not available, and we are not able to contact you via the phone number(s) or email address you provided us.
These orders are our very highest priority. If you have ordered too late to make the funeral service we will call to let you know quickly so that you can make other arrangements or have something sent to the home of the family. If you do not know the zip code or exact address of the funeral home we will look it up for you. We normally contact the funeral home anyway to verify the time of the viewing and make arrangements for the flower delivery. If you have selected a delivery date that is before the actual viewing we will deliver to the viewing per the funeral home instructions. If you have ordered for a funeral viewing on Sunday and it is too late to deliver on Saturday or Sunday, we will contact the funeral home to verify that there is a viewing or service on Monday and reschedule the order.
Due to the time-sensitivity of delivering funeral orders, if a banner is not available, we will fill your order to value, substituting the banner with more flowers for an even fuller arrangement.
Depending on the delivery location, if the recipient is not available at the time of delivery, the delivery person may leave the gift in a safe place for the recipient to retrieve when they return, such as with a neighbor, or leave a message for the recipient to call to arrange for delivery.
Same-day orders are processed immediately, and usually cannot be changed. Due to the urgent nature of florist delivered products we are unable to cancel or change orders already in process at the florist, en route or delivered. To cancel or change an order that has not been processed, please call (00354-567 78 00).
In most cases, the florist may contact the recipient to ensure s/he will be home to accept the delivery.
The customer assumes all liability for requests to leave arrangements. We highly discourage special instructions requesting delivery to a doorstep, porch, yard or any location where the recipient cannot accept the arrangement themselves. Í húsi blóma Florist cannot be held responsible for missing or faulty product due to this special request.
If the recipient refuses to accept a delivery, you may be held fully liable for the cost of the gift.
